Jess’s Shuffle also wins an ICONIC AWARDS 2020 design prize
The ICONIC AWARDS for innovative interiors are not only about the best of the best in the furniture and interiors sector: they also provide a unique platform for the widely differing specialists active in the field. Jess, a prominent Dutch company, has won this prestigious award for its ‘outstanding design quality’ in the furniture category.
ICONIC AWARDS winners are selected by an expert international jury. Any company winning one of these prestigious awards knows that it is at the top of its game. The award will be presented to Jess at a ceremony to be held at the Kölnischer Kunstverein in Cologne on 12 January 2020. This will be followed by the opening of the ICONIC AWARDS 2020 Innovation Interior exhibition, at which the award-winning Shuffle will be on display, at the imm cologne fair.
Maarten van de Goor, Director at Jess Design: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this design award. We launched the Shuffle at a number of European fairs two years ago. It was designed by Robert Bronwasser and provided our collection with an invigorating twist. The Shuffle has its own striking look and it fits in perfectly with our existing and continuous collections. It was this eye- catcher that also allowed us to scoop the German Design Award in November.”
The range consists of sofas, a chair and a chaise longue. In early 2020, a Shuffle dining chair will be introduced. The design was inspired by the pure materials Jess is famous for and which have a nonchalant and rugged vibe. “The key to this collection is that you can sit on a piece of furniture in two different ways. This dual functionality aspect is something that has never been seen before. The items of furniture can either be used separately or in combination with each other. This makes them great for domestic use but also perfect for hotel lobbies, restaurants and reception areas. This playfulness is a very distinctive aspect of the design.”
Jess will once again be present at all of the major exhibitions in Europe in 2020, including imm cologne in January, Stockholm in February, Milan in April, and Paris and London in September. “At each of the exhibitions, we will be presenting Shuffle, the German Design Award and ICONIC AWARDS winner, alongside our new collection.”
